BGSU student helps plan, design mural aimed at improving mental health

For nearly a year,
Completing a placement as community advocate for the Connection Center, Griffith said members of the centers mural committee told her the artwork shows how theyre all connected and capable of doing big things and are an integral part of the community. Griffith also said the group mentioned that the project gave them confidence and healthy attitudes.
The ongoing COVID19 pandemic presented obstacles for members who were unable to see each other or loved ones over the past year. As a result, Griffith and committee members began the mural design online in summer 2020 while shelteringin-place for the pandemic. Members then came together as a committee once the center reopened to finish the design and paint the mural.
