Madeleine Peyroux8 p.m. The Sheldon Concert Hall, 3648 Washington Blvd., St. Louis. Much like songbird Edith Piaf, Madeleine Peyroux spent her teenage years busking the busy streets of Paris. Just like the "little sparrow," Peyroux befriended the city's street musicians and made its Latin quarter her first performing stage. Scholarships are awarded to the winner as well as first and second runners-up. O'Fallon PD lieutenant earns high honor

Lt. Patrick Feldhake of the O'Fallon Police Department was recently selected as the 2022 recipient of the Carl Dobbs Memorial Scholarship.

The Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police gives this scholarship annually to a command level officer in the state. The scholarship pays for tuition at the Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command, a 10-week intensive leadership and management education program that helps prepare experienced law enforcement professionals for success in senior command positions.

This school is held at different locations throughout the country. Feldhake received this award Friday, April 29, at the ILACP banquet in Northbrook, Illinois.
